I started the production already, and set off with the snowmen. And realized that I lost last year's oh-so-successful pattern, and can't find it anywhere on the net, either. Bummer. I shall have to improvise, but would've liked to have the same again. :S
And as a follow-up, I decided to risk snowballs as a product, too. No, not the solid, all-white ones, but the frail, fragile, see-through icicle-kind of snow compositions.
Something like this )

I think I decided which stars I shall be duplicating for this season. There won't be too many, as time is more sparse than ever in my hands, but I can turn idle waitings prolific this way, too.
there will be more of these: )

Almost two months ago I was commissioned to make goods for a charity fare this holiday season, and I completely forgot about the whole thing up until now. I wouldn't have had much time to work on this commission, but the time is short now, and I need to prepare.
I planned to have the following in my booth:
* stars
* snowflakes
* snowmen
* li'l angels
* reindeers (possibly)
* a rotund Santa

All in filet crochet, of course. Hope my hand will endure without any problems.
O_O

Okay, so today was another crafty day of mine. I made a cute white seal. )

The ami I started in the post-exam euphoria is ready!
I call her Pinkitty )

In the last weeks of exam studying what did I do so far? Made presents for friends. I'm still behind with an action figure, and, due to today's post, with a HP plushie of utmost importance, too.
so here's the latest ami of mine )

Okay, so I woke up this morning around 5 due to nervosity. Slowly it's sinking in that the final exam is next week, and I have yet much to prepare in my head. I'm not yet familiar with half of the material, and the other half needs to be learned, too. Sooooo - wish me luck (and mental prowess).

I spent just about a whole week on this one, but it was worth the hassle! Ludger, as he was later named, is for a dear friend of mine, Móni, who had her birthday today. I knew she'd love this fellow, as she had been to Africa, where she promptly fell in love with giraffes. So it was not a commission, but rather a wistful gesture from a friend. All in all, I'm glad I made it, but I really should've studied for my exam, too, and not use crocheting as an excuse...
Anyhow, here be some pics! )

Don't worry, it's not that bad. (I hope)
I happen to like this design, and since I gave away the first Ponte Vecchio necklaces I made, I had to make one for myself. Being stressed was a nice excuse for that... :D

Why am I stressed? Ah, for no particular reason...  *coughcough exam coughcough*
So what does a craftster do when she's stressed? Yup! Play creative.
So I made some Halloween-themed figurines, including a ton of ghosts, a bunch of pumpkins, wee little kitties,  and some bats, too. Will color them later, and once I found a way to preserve them, I shall apply most of them to jewellery-making.
Fun times ahead!

Remember how I said I'll make better things with the seamless technique? Well, I did. I finished this just yesterday - ok, it was already after midnight, so it could be today, too, but still!
It's a gorgeous li'l fawn! )

ETA: my mom just called this critter a dog, too. For her, anything vaguely four-legged and tubular bodied is either a dog or a horse. I'm greatly offended. I mean, okay, the llama was quite bad, but this?! Come on, it's really lifelike!

Remember my creation, the Winter Lady? Well, I've been mulling over the idea of making a sleeker version of her, like a daughter or something, with the same colors and pattern. The time has come. )

Current Mood: chipper chipper

like mushrooms after rain )

New week, new project!
dingbat )

This week I've been experimenting with a new way of making amigurumi all in one piece, as the loopy legs technique still requires some sewing, which I wanted to avoid due to some fancy. I've got some weird drives to find new, sometimes more difficult ways of doing things. (wouldn't bet someone else didn't think of this sooner, but it's a new idea to me)
Custo )
Plus, the possibilities in this method!!!

In the past week I've been slaving away at this:
cross stitching )

Anita was such a dear and thought I'd like this little knick-knack she no longer needed:
umbrella
No, she was wrong. I LOVE it!! I always wanted to get a rice paper umbrella, but never had the time/money/mind to do so, and finding a shop that had it was quite hard, too. So I'm all the more enamored of this gift!
Thank you, Anita!

I just put together a video about Sanyi in the camp - and realised it might be offending the very one it was supposed to feature. It might not be a good idea to show him, as the hurtful events of the week might resurface, but I don't want to throw the vid away , either - it's only my second video, after all...
So with crossed fingers I uploaded it on the world-wide web, and hope he won't find it...

ETA: He found it. He didn't seem offended much...

Well, yeah, I haven't really had the time, means and knowledge to do so. Mind you, I had help with this first venture, too (and a lot of that - thanks Azzi!) So - here it is.
Made for a birthday, featuring some really nice events from the summer camp with the celebrated. I hope he likes it.

ETA: He does. (at least he says so - with him, you can never know)

Current Mood: giddy giddy

Well, I just got back from my trip to the Carpathians, visiting places that no longer belong to my country, but are still Hungarian in spirit. We started on the 21st and just arrived home a few hours ago.

Here are some artsy facts about this trip )
